P.S Winn5.0 out of 5 stars War and strange happeningsReviewed in the United States on March 15, 2020Verified PurchaseI enjoyed this story which not only shares how war touches not only those in the military, but the families that love them. Tom Roberts and his family were shocked when Tom was called to service. This story follows Tom and an owl who has special gifts to share. The author writes a touching story.
Jessica Menotti is frightened by a recurrent dream in which she’s chased through a maze by an unseen assailant. Hoping to escape the fears, she moves to Niagara Falls and takes a job as an Assistant District Attorney. Soon, though, she seems to be running through a real-life maze.
Called by Detective Mulroney to oversee the collection of evidence at a murder scene, Jessica is panicked when she sees an old yellow building then is startled by old bones dug up and a strange ring in the grave. It’s the first time she’s seen any of this, yet her instinct is to run from that place. At the same time, though she’s just met Mulroney she feels drawn to him as to someone she’s loved for years. Love, fear, where are these feelings coming from? Certainly not from any experience in this life.
When she is assigned a case involving drug smugglers, that maze dream and her sense of dread at the crime scene come into focus. Struggling to understand her sense of déjà vu leads to a vision of her death in a past life… and maybe her death in this one as well.
Janice Clark5.0 out of 5 stars Another keeper for my bookshelfReviewed in the United States on December 14, 2020Verified PurchaseWith a plot as full of twists and turns as the mazes in Jessie’s nightmares, this paranormal mystery has enough red herrings to stock a fish store. Clues abound, but what do they really mean? You can’t tell the good guys from the bad guys until the maze is run. Warning: if you value a good night’s sleep, don’t start reading this book at bedtime.
Does your child have ADHD (Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)?
Meet David, one of award-winning author Sherrill S. Cannon’s “Classroom of Kids,” who manages his ADHD with the help of classmates.
David discovers ways to cope with his hyperactive brain while learning how to calm and soothe his ADHD. Solutions include setting daily schedules and following simple rules that regulate behavior. His teachers and therapists encourage using the computer for academic advancement, and to establish a pattern for study as well as for occasional recreation. David not only learns self-control and communication skills but is able to fit into the classroom and make friends.
Once again social values are emphasized in the author’s latest illustrated children’s story, and classroom friends from previous books are featured. In fact, David has been part of the class for a long time!
“David’s ADHD is a timely topic for parents and children. A story in rhyme that demystifies ADHD. It explains a youngster’s behavior in terms of his inattentiveness and impulsivity and how it impacts those around him. A sensitive way of creating understanding for children with ADHD and their families.” – Dr. Valerie Allen, licensed school psychologist About the Author: Former teacher Sherrill S. Cannon has won 76 awards for her previous 11 rhyming books. She is also the author of seven published and internationally performed plays for elementary school children. The author has been called “an absolute master of rhyming” and “a modern-day Dr. Seuss.”
Christine Cazes5.0 out of 5 stars Gift of Rhyme Demystifies ADHDReviewed in the United States on February 18, 2020Verified PurchaseSherrill’s gift of rhyme clearly describes the sensitive topic of a child’s diagnosis of ADHD. Turn each page beautifully illustrated by Kalpart, and learn a parent’s frustration and a child’s inability to focus. David quickly learns that there is a way to keep organized, make more friends, and get better grades. As a Reading and Writing Specialist, I was so pleased to share this book with my colleagues in school. Today’s classrooms include many students who lack the ability to focus which interrupts their learning. Some are diagnosed with ADHD. Sherrill’s book gives good advice to parents, teachers, and children. I gave a copy of Sherrill’s book to the parent of one of my students because she worried so much about her son. She read the book and today her son is learning to calm and soothe his ADHD. I highly recommend this book that demystifies ADHD for parents, children, and teachers.

‘Love is a wonderful thing, and you never know when love can …February 23, 2018 – Published on Amazon.comVerified Purchase‘Love is a wonderful thing, and you never know when love can happen, you just need to believe it will’ It’s very rare for me to find a book like this one and as you keep reading, there is a constant giggle that it just can’t stop. Stories like this are a reminder that no matter the age or the rough pass of time, love will still come to you, from one way or another, a mother, a relative or a close person to you will always care and get worried about you and as twisted as your life might be, there is a solution for that too. I, honestly don’t have the words to express how much I love this book, especially because two months ago one of my beloved pet passed away and while reading this, I was remembering every moment of happiness I have with him, just because we have a language, can talk and complain it doesn’t mean dogs or animals in general don’t do that too, and considering the joy a pet brings to your life, it’s normal to suggest that this story happen to all of us in a daily basis. No criticism, no suggestions, just buy and read this book, times are always difficult, no matter the perspective, but stories like this one can make everyone’s day a little bit better.
Praise for Faces Three: Lies: Betrayals: Fear: Who will be the next to wind up behind a stone: FACES 3: Fran Lewis Faces behind the stones will grab you from beyond. Watch where you walk-Karen H.Vaughan: Author of Daytona Dead
Fran Lewis’ Faces Three: Lies, Betrayal, Fear shows chillingly that crime comes in many forms. So does retribution. It’s filled with delicious irony. Mark Rubinstein Author, Mad Dog House and Love Gone Mad
Walk through a cemetery, and read the names of the Faces Behind the Stones. If you listen very carefully, you may hear the voices of the unfortunate souls who are forever interred there, desperately trying to tell their stories. Murder, arson, deception, and embezzlement…these are just a few of the crimes that led to their “change in zip code.” But, the question must be asked…were they innocent victims? Or did they deserve their grizzly fates? Lies, betray, fear: you be the judge: Maxine Bringenberg: Editor
With this brilliant blend of fiction with non-fiction the book illuminates a seemingly unimportant issue which in fact is at the root of much evil in the world. Through her powerful writing, the sharp presentation and great intellectual understanding of the subject at hand the author(s) has (have) created an important piece of literature and a moral lesson which nobody in my opinion is too young, too old or too wise to hear. Outstanding: Christoph Fischer
Fans of the Stones series won‘t be disappointed. Once again, Fran Lewis has shown her great insight into human nature. Another book to make the reader wonder: Ann Stanmore Author
Back for her college reunion, Deputy Marshal Marice Houston doesn’t expect to hook up with an old boyfriend. Nor does she expect to be a witness to a deadly assault, which was motivated by a decade old rape case.
M. M. Bishop Award-winning author and poet5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL CHARACTERS AND PLOT IN THIS ROMANTIC SUSPENSE-FILLED BOOKReviewed in the United States on September 18, 2019Verified PurchaseRoom 103 is the first book in a beautiful new suspense-filled romance series by Dellani Oakes. I love Ms. Oakes style of writing. She has such a flair for adding just the right amount of pulse throbbing romance into her suspense and murder filled tales. In-Room 103, we meet Deputy Marshall Marice Houston, who has gone to her home town to have a fun and relaxing weekend at her College Reunion. Little does she suspect that she will have to solve a murder, clear the name of a longtime suspect, and fall in love. All of Ms. Oakes books are well written, wonderfully edited, and enticingly romantic and filled with suspense, even in those books that are not mysteries you will find enough romance and suspense to add to whatever the plot happens to be. I loved Room 103 and fell in love with her new characters in this series. I can hardly wait to read Room 203.
Such an amazing story I love the character Serena and Dante and the sense of humor in it as well. Darlene has done such an amazing job bringing these characters to life for us once again. The feels are awesome and the images in my mind…well let’s not go there lol I need more of this couple for sure. Well written, well-rounded, and wonderful. I want to be Serena hehehehehe.
