A really interesting series of novellas!

Summer Angel – Who are Charlie and Bethany? Who is John? What is happening in their lives? Who is Clarisse? What journey does she take one of those three on and why? Things finally start to make sense as I realize what has happened. It makes my heart sad. Who is Gous? Who is Donna? You need to read to see what is going on.

Dark Angel – What we find out about Donna, who she is, what her family is like and what has happened to her that makes her like Charlie is interesting. We find out more about Gous and the others as well. We see what is going to happen, to some degree, at least we’re told what needs to happen in order to make things right.

Forgotten Angel – After what happens with Clarisse, and promises that are made, how does it affect Charlie? What happens that puts Charlie and Bethany into a tailspin and on a road trip? Where are they leaving and where do they go to? What happens on the way there? What about once they get there? All I can say is I like Keeper, and the enigma that he is. I cannot wait to read The Karma Set of this series of 9 novellas. Happy reading!

Karma’s Minion – Wow, all I can say about the start of this fourth story of the series is WOW. You always hear about not messing with Karma and we see how it comes back against Charlie in this one. What did he do that was so wrong to make Karma angry? What happens when Charlie goes to a cafe for a coffee and something to eat while his mother gets to sleep in? Who is Ms. Kapoor? What does she have to do with all of this and why? I like the Yin and Yang aspect of this story.

Karma’s Revenge – Wow, having just gotten a few chapters into this, and seeing Charlie and Clarisse meet up again and Dante’s part in their reunion was very interesting indeed. When Clarisse finds out what has been happening for and to Charlie and the decisions he has had to make caused things to get very interesting indeed. What happens when Gous shows up again? Things do get mighty interesting.

Karma’s Legacy – WOW! I did not expect what I saw in this third portion of this trio of books dealing with Karma. There is so much more going on than I anticipated or could have even dreamed about. You need to read this and see what happens, because I’m just like, “WOAH!”

Keeper of Truth – Holy smokes, this series of Summer Spirit Novellas keeps getting more and more intense! As I start to learn more about what Charlie’s path may be, I am more and more stunned and floored. We find out some things in this book that are good, and some that are scary. I am happy for Clarisse and Charlie and sad for Tabitha, Charlie’s best friend from his human life. If you have not read the first six books of this series of novellas you need to go read them before starting in on the Keeper Set.

Keeper of LIes – This book really had me questioning even my own sanity in some points. I felt like I was truly there and was losing my mind at the half-truths and deceptions that I am sure are going on but I cannot be positive of. I cannot wait to start the last book in this series to see how it ends!

Keeper of Oblivion – Wow, I did not expect that ending to the series. I love that there are things that keep it possible for something along the lines in the future to come. I love watching Charlie become the man he is meant to be. I love watching what he does and how he stands up for everyone that is different from them. You need to see how this turns out!

Spooky and impossible to put down

I have to start by saying that this book was a pleasure to read. It is also the first that I have read by L.A. Remenicky. That being said, I found her characters to be real, believable, down to earth and charming.
Cassie is a woman who has never felt “right” in her own skin and things start to happen that make absolutely no sense at all. First, her parents are killed leaving her orphaned and alone with her grandmother. Then her grandmother dies in a mysterious way leaving Cassie the sole heir of the house she grew up in and her grandmother’s book store. All places that mean a great deal to her, but somehow host something out to get her.
Logan is a new cop who just happens to meet Cassie in typical cop fashion…she gets a speeding ticket. He has no knowledge that his boss, the sheriff, is also Cassie’s best friend and the closest thing to a relative she has now. Logan is immediately drawn to Cassie and it slowly reveals itself in a haunting and highly anticipated way. Logan was sent to save Cassie from the demon entity that inhabited a “friend” from her parents’ past. Spooky, right? I thought so too. How do you fight a demon? How do you hold onto the love of your life and the warmth of the past? What happens when that demon is dead set on destroying not only you but everything you thought you could ever want? Cassie knows.

Saving Cassie–A Very Good Read****

First time reading a paranormal novel. Did not realize it when I purchased it. Was surprised that it held my attention throughout the book. In the past when I saw a paranormal book I by passed it without even reading the introduction. In saving Cassie I was hooked from page one. I really loved the brother and sister relationship between Cassie and James. I felt their loving relationship added a lot to the story. I enjoyed Cassie’s feisty attitude the first time she met Logan when he stopped her for speeding. There were a lot of situations that Ms. Remenicky added to her story that made the book enjoyable for me. For instance, the way that Cassie’s grandmother could communicate with her and help keep her safe from the demon showed how much she loved her granddaughter. I enjoyed reading how Cassie and Logan’s love for each other developed over the weeks. I want to thank Ms. Remenicky for being able to read a book without any foul language included in the story. I also liked that Cassie was able to get pregnant and had a baby girl at the end—that was a nice surprise. I also enjoyed the book because the love scenes were tastefully done. For anyone who likes to read books without vulgar language and explicit sex scenes gives this book a try. It even makes you laugh at times. I would read another of L.A. Remenicky’s books again.

Nothing is ever easy even for angels.

Another saga in the love story of Charlie and Clarisse. Things start out badly for Charlie and supernatural actions seem determined to keep them apart. Throw in a road trip with his controlling mother and you have a recipe for a great read. I wanted to shake my Kindle and make their love survive this ordeal. I need to know now how it works out for them. Read this great series!

Just keeps getting better!

A great second book in the series. Today is Samantha Jacobey day. Having read this book in one sitting I had to move on to another of her books, Teach Me to Prey. I can’t wait to see how The Summer Spirit series resolves itself. Keep ’em coming Ms. Jacobey!

Are angels among us?

Charlie Phillips is not looking forward to the family vacation. His parents have not been getting along and he really isn’t looking forward to spending the next two weeks in close quarters. Little did he know that the vacation would be a life-changing one for them all. The question becomes, would he survive it?

The writing and flow of this story is what I have come to expect from this author – entertaining and always unexpected though the genre is a new one. Charlie seems to be your typical teenager with Clarisse providing the role of the beautiful ingénue. As the pages turned I quickly realized that this summer romance was going to be much more. Intriguing premise, twisty plot and an ending that has me eagerly looking forward to the next in the series.

Where are my keys? I know I locked the front door!

Some events in some people’s lives are hard to process for understanding and moving forward with the life. It requires an open mind and an acceptance of a higher being as well as another realm. It is in our best interest to not disregard the little strange random occurrence or to ignore them totally. L. A. Remenicky is a gifted story weaver who has a steel grasp of that concept. I love her details that paint a colorful picture of the story she is sharing with us. I found myself breathless and flushed as I read several intimate passages. I’m her newest devoted follower. I can’t wait to meet her or start her next book in Fairfield Corners.
