Being born blind, Ken has always lived a sheltered life, thanks to his overprotective mother and older sisters. If it wasn’t for his best friend, Stone, he’d never have any kind of freedom, let alone a life. Twenty-one years old and still living at home, Ken is ready to be independent. When he moves into his own apartment and meets his new neighbor, Cassandra, he knows he’s made the right decision. Ken wants Cassandra, and the feeling seems to be mutual, but he’s worried. Can she accept that he can be everything she needs, or will she let his blindness keep her from taking a chance?

The only thing I dislike about this series is the cover art. I almost passed by this series because of it, I’m such a “judge a book by its cover” person but I’m so glad I got pulled in by the book descriptions because this series is SO GOOOOOD
Jolie survived the stalker. The man who kidnapped her, not only damaged her physically, he wrenched her away from the dream she worked toward for most of her childhood. Broken and terrified of men, her mother takes Jolie to live with her father, the president of a motorcycle club. They never caught the monster, with the club around her Jolie should be safe. He‘s seen nothing like her before. Hunter understands Jolie is too young, and he has his own dream to chase. How can he resist the blonde with the face of an angel? He must or the prez might kill him. Kissing Jolie might be the biggest mistake of his life.

Story of relationships gone wrong
Angela Gray gets to the point and writes with vivacity and ferocity, I like the character’s livelihood presence and this ongoing adventure, it’s a great story that will take you many places.
Daisy Carmichael’s life is forever changed after a devastating car crash.
Nobody remembers the boy who pulled her from the wreckage, the boy who saved her life.
She believed she was crazy.
That is, until the dreams started.

A good story that will pull you out of your world like fantasy should
Fantasy to me is about that moment you walk into someplace you may have once known, and discover something you never knew existed, and your mind begins to race with all the possibilities, and eventually impossibilities of the world just to try to rediscover that world beyond ours that is lost and sad and wonderful. In Gray begins with that classic kind of jarring experience, and leaves the reader with the certainty that more discovery is coming. An easy, but good story that will pull you in like fantasy should, but with characters that are normal and real. The story reminds me of Shadowhunters but the writing reminds me of James Patterson. My only negative was that maybe the reading level was so simple that it would be appealing to audiences a little too young, but that was only at first. I’ve watched more adult things with my two-year-old daughter on Netflix kids. And that’s saying something about Netflix Kids. Waiting for the next book.
When his best friend decided to join the Army after high school graduation, there was no question Joel would join too. Best friends since kindergarten, the two of them did everything together, and this was no different. A routine mission changed their lives forever. Slade ended up paralyzed while Joel lost his leg. Joel never expected to live with one leg, but he wasn’t going to let it break him. Like he did with everything else, he adapted, and he accepted that he was never going to find love. Women might want to sleep with a war hero, but they sure as hell don’t want to live with and take care of one. That theory proves true until Courtney comes along. Beautiful, independent Courtney with her wicked sense of humor is the perfect woman for Joel. All he has to do is trust her enough to accept that he doesn’t have to stand on his own anymore.

Edmisten has a wonderful gift!
I love how Trish Edmisten brings her characters to life and puts them in realistic situations. This is the second book I’ve read by her. Joel is self-conscience about his missing leg, but his best friend, Slade, is paralyzed and will spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. They joke and tease each other but when the PTSD hits they’re there for each other. Then Joel meets Courtney and finds he’s falling in love but has his reservations. I couldn’t put this marvelous book down! I highly recommend Standing on His Own!
Years of emotional abuse have ended. The divorce is final, it’s over. With not even a child to tie her down, she is free to open a business. Freedom comes at a cost. She is alone and can’t go to his family for comfort as she used to. Addison hired a student. He’s gorgeous, competent, and if she was ten years younger… but she’s not and he’s her employee. Still, she can dream, can’t she?

Amazing
The first time I listened to this story was in the Christmas Treasures short story collection and I was not disappointed. Angela has a great way of building characters that are very relatable with strong females and this book is no exception. She leaves you turning pages waiting and hoping and hooks you in. I’ve read all her work and looking forward to even more!
For as long as he can remember, Nate’s dreamed of being an MMA fighter. Nothing is going to stand in his way, and no one is going to distract him. Everything is going according to plan when Natalie comes along. Even though he wasn’t looking for love, Nate can’t help falling fast and hard. Smart, sweet, and supportive, she seems too good to be true, but it’s actually the other way around. Nate isn’t good enough for her, and he’s keeping a secret that will change everything between them. One day, she’ll see the truth inside of him. Until then, Nate’s determined to keep Natalie in his life for as long as he can. This book is an 86 K-word novel with no cliffhanger and a guaranteed HEA. Although it’s the first in a series, each book can be read as a stand-alone.

Loved this story!
Going into this story after reading the blurb I went into the story expecting one thing, but what I got was completely different! This story was wonderfully written and touched on a subject that is not talked about very often. It was like a breath of fresh air, and I absolutely loved it! There was a twist I just didn’t see coming! The characters within the story were all great. I loved how they were not perfect, And that they all seemed to have a little secret, I really want to find out what each of their secrets is! Nate and Natalie were a great couple. I really liked how Natalie was so supportive of Nate. The book had many laugh out loud moments for me which was great! I love a book that can make me laugh. It was also quite emotional, made me tear up a couple of times. I could feel Nate’s anxiety through the book, I just wanted to reach inside and tell him that everything was going to be ok! The book had a very in-depth look into the MMA world. I could see that the author really researched this subject, I may have learned a thing or two myself about the industry. I also really loved that the cover model has a story of his own to tell! I really loved that he is on the cover of this fantastic book. You shouldn’t feel a need to hide who you are and this story gives hope to others who may find themselves in similar situations. This is a beautiful story of finding your way and finding that person who will be with you through thick and thin, they are always by your side and loving you unconditionally. I can’t wait to read the stories that will come next in this series.
Can you get a second chance if you never truly had the first?
Bailey and Trey were just kids when they met. Being placed in the same group home wasn’t exactly an ideal circumstance for starting a new relationship, but it didn’t matter. Two weeks was all it took to lose their hearts, but two weeks was all they had before their sweet summer romance was over. From the moment Bailey walked out of the group home, and out of Trey’s life, Trey vowed he would do whatever it took to get Bailey back. He just never expected it to take ten years. So much has happened since they met, but there’s never been anyone else for Trey. Now, he has to find a way to convince Bailey this thing between them is real, and it’s forever.

Emotional Journey
This book caught me by surprise. This is such an emotional journey for Bailey and Trey. It tugged at my heart and pulled out a few tears along the way but it was all so good and so worth reading.
