This was a great short story and worked great as a science fiction novel. I enjoyed getting to go on this journey and getting to know the characters. It was well written.

He’s an albino man that can manipulate glass and crystal, and he uses his special abilities to raid warehouses and old buildings for food and supplies for the abandoned children that live underground. During a raid, he meets Tassta Vinetti, a resident of the Brotherhood fortress. He is taken to the fortress and chaos ensues as Tassta, her twin brother Penn, and her uncle, try to keep their new visitor and his untold powers a secret.

This story is more than a post-apocalyptic science fiction story. It’s filled with such imagination that as a reader I felt like I was ensconced in the story and experienced a raft of emotions.
One must not be lulled by the slow start because you’ll miss crucial details. It’s written carefully with an impeccable plot.

Blood Phase follows on seamlessly from book one, and we rejoin Griffin, Tassta, Lerin and all, in the continuing story.
Once again the characters are well-fleshed out and have their own personalities, and are like friends I’ve known for years. I feel their love, fear, confusion, frustration, and sorrow, and my heart goes out to them.
The descriptive writing draws you in and keeps you there through all the twists, turns, and actions, and doesn’t let go until you turn the last page.
I am eager to read the next book and discover what happens next
