Some secrets are too dangerous to keep.
After ten years in the big city, Cassie Holt is back in Fairfield Corners. She may look like the same girl who left home a decade before but she’s hiding a dark truth from everyone. When her life is threatened by the demons of her past, her best friend—who happens to be the local sheriff—offers his help.
Deputy Logan Miller has been burned by love. He’s not looking to get involved but duty calls when the sheriff tasks him with Cassie’s protection. Thrown into close quarters with the gorgeous bookseller, sparks fly. Logan is drawn to Cassie, but it’s hard to get close to someone who keeps themselves guarded all the time. To keep Cassie safe, Logan must open his heart but that’s something he swore he’d never do.

Where are my keys? I know I locked the front door!
Some events in some people’s lives are hard to process for understanding and moving forward with the life. It requires an open mind and an acceptance of a higher being as well as another realm. It is in our best interest to not disregard the little strange random occurrence or to ignore them totally. L. A. Remenicky is a gifted story weaver who has a steel grasp of that concept. I love her details that paint a colorful picture of the story she is sharing with us. I found myself breathless and flushed as I read several intimate passages. I’m her newest devoted follower. I can’t wait to meet her or start her next book in Fairfield Corners.

Amazing first book in a series!
This is the first book by Remenicky that I’ve read, and I loved it!
Cassie returns to her late Grandmother’s house, which she inherited, and misses her so much. There are issues with the one new deputy as he treats her poorly.
I love ghost stories, and this one doesn’t disappoint!
I highly recommend this book that’s filled with the paranormal, love and mystery!
The Magical Adventure continues!
If you liked the Summer, Dark and Forgotten Angels in the first segment of the Summer Spirit Novella Series, you are going LOVE what happens when Karma gets involved. Are they a race of ancient beings, here for the benefit of mankind? Or is a group of marauders poised and ready to strike us down when we least expect it?
Charlie must find the truth and his inner strength for any hope of freeing Clarisse and ending the battle… (New Adult)
Just keeps getting better!
A great second book in the series. Today is Samantha Jacobey day. Having read this book in one sitting I had to move on to another of her books, Teach Me to Prey. I can’t wait to see how The Summer Spirit series resolves itself. Keep ’em coming Ms. Jacobey!
Want more from Charlie and Clarisse
Charlie is a teen, who is about to go on a trip with his parents before he heads off to college. One minute Charlie’s preparing for his trip, the next he’s meeting the mysterious Clarisse, who is an angel. Clarisse takes Charlie on a journey to show him the world and give him a lesson in good and evil with the Light Angels and the Dark Angels. As their journey comes to an end, Charlie must decide whether to stay with Clarisse or return to his parents.
I loved Charlie and Clarisse’s characters, I thought they were cute together and I liked how she responded to Charlie’s questions as they went about their journey. As the end came to a near, I got a little emotional as Charlie had to make his difficult decision.
The book was a quick and easy read. I thought the author did a good job with this first book in the series and she leaves you wanting more. I’m looking forward to reading the next volume in the series to see what awaits Charlie and Clarisse.
