Sweet, funny, engaging!
I absolutely loved this book!! It was sweet, funny, engaging, and oh so entertaining!! I have always loved time travel and westerns- here’s a great mix of both! There are some open/gray areas- I seriously hope that there are more books around this one in the future!

Dear Margaret,In a world that had gone bonkers, two friends try to keep each other grounded by writing letters to each other during WWII. Although what happened in their lives was vastly different from each other, they found a common ground, a way to keep each other sane. From mundane daily chores to life-threatening events, these letters from two pen pals take the reader on a journey into the past, a past where nightmares came true, and when hatred reigned.A time in history that we should never, ever forget.
Dear Margaret is of two teenagers writing back and forth to each other during World War II. I simply was in love with this book. The letters and pictures of these two people’s lives were astounding. I laughed and cried at the recountings of Margaret and Harry. Author Pamela Ackerson put these letters together perfectly for the book. If you Love Dear Margaret. Please read the other book, “I Was Just A Radioman” by Pamela also. Recommended for anyone to read. Harrowing and sometimes sad in its wartime letters from Harry to its comforting and sometimes humorous letters from Margaret. Thank you, Pam, for letting me read these books. I appreciate all of your books.

He was a Union soldier. She was a Confederate nurse. When Rosa looked into his eyes, she saw pure determination. He was a fighter and wouldn’t let anything keep him down. Rosa could take a few lessons from him.
Trapped in desire and drowning in need; to fall in love with the enemy, there might as well be a mountain between them.

Great book during difficult times Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2020
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. It was a great short great with a lot of feeling in it. It was told during the civil war when confederates had to help the union as well as their own. A nurse, Rosa, was taking care of a union soldier who had gotten critically hurt. While at the makeshift confederate hospital, Rose took care of Russell. WHen he got better, he kept getting hurt and taking supplies to the other union soldiers. So he kept showing up at the hospital while during this horrible time, Rosa and Russell fell in love. It wasn’t the best of times, since they were from opposite sides. The story gives us a glimpse of the past and how hard the times have been. A very good short read. One person found this helpful
She’d made one too many stupid mistakes, and now had a hard time looking in the mirror and liking what she was seeing. She felt like one of those soap opera tragedies where she was burned to a crisp and had to rise again as a whole new person.
She was a survivor. She was determined to get her happily-ever-after…if only she could forgive herself.
Betty was in love with Bruce, but she had to keep the relationship at bay. She wanted the solid happily-ever-after but couldn’t waver from what her heart needed. She enjoyed women too, and wasn’t about to do anything behind his back.Surprises were quite pleasant when least expected, especially if it worked in her favor.
Larriane arrived in Florida with hope, a new job, and a new identity. A hurricane came barreling towards her sanctuary. Alone in the world, she’d been taken in by the Clere’s Restaurant clan and felt welcome. What was she thinking? She should’ve known that you can’t run away from your past.
