Fantastic Second Chance Romance!!I really enjoyed the first book in the Fairfield Corner’s series, but Ragan’s Song totally blew me away. This was such a fantastic second chance romance. Ragan left 3 years earlier with no explanation or goodbye leaving Adam to wonder what it was that drove her away. 3 years later & she is returning to Fairfield Corners for her parents anniversary party with her son, Skylar in tow. The weather takes a turn for the worse & soon she has an encounter with deer and ends up in the river. With no time to settle back into small-town mentality, her past is thrust upon when her scorned lover Adam comes to their rescue. Adam can’t believe she’s back and expects some answers. Ragan has a deep dark secret that she knows will have to come to light, but she must guard her heart against Adam again in order to keep him safe. Oh man, the twists & turns in this book. It just came together so beautifully. Will these two work out their past issues & see what is right in front of them. Definite must read book!!!

Saving Cassie–A Very Good Read****
By floFirst time reading a paranormal novel. Did not realize it when I purchased it. Was surprised that it held my attention throughout the book. In the past when I saw a paranormal book, I bypassed it without even reading the introduction. In saving Cassie, I was hooked from page one. I really loved the brother and sister relationship between Cassie and James. I felt their loving relationship added a lot to the story. I enjoyed Cassie’s feisty attitude the first time she met Logan when he stopped her for speeding. There were a lot of situations that Ms. Remenicky added to her story that made the book enjoyable for me. For instance, the way that Cassie’s grandmother could communicate with her and help keep her safe from the demon showed how much she loved her granddaughter. I enjoyed reading how Cassie and Logan’s love for each other developed over the weeks. I want to thank Ms. Remenicky for being able to read a book without any foul language included in the story. I also liked that Cassie was able to get pregnant and had a baby girl at the end—that was a nice surprise. I also enjoyed the book because the love scenes were tastefully done. For anyone who likes to read books without vulgar language and explicit sex scenes gives this book a try. It even makes you laugh at times. I would read another of L.A. Remenicky’s books again.

5 Stars for Last Chance Christmas
By Backstage Blogs

Another winner from LA Remenicky! I didn’t get into the Christmas spirit at all this year, but as I revisited Fairfield Corners this week, I decided there was no reason not to read a Christmas Story in February, and I am so glad that I made the right call. I am in love with Fairfield Corners – such an idyllic small town setting. Add in some rock stars and hot cops, what isn’t to love?

This quick read stars one of Adam’s bodyguards from his touring days, and the sister of another. (And another totally cool dog as well.) Plenty of drama, and a touch of suspense and an HEA in a beautiful Victorian setting. This could certainly be read as a standalone, but why not read Cassie and Ragan’s stories too? I absolutely adore this author, and hope we will see more books and novellas in the Fairfield Corners series – the town is so well described it could be another character in the series, and I adore it! If the weather could be 70 degrees year round it would probably be exactly where I would want to live.

Twins and rescue dogs..what’s not to love
By Bel
They say twins share a special bond and can sense when the other is hurt, AJ feels that something is wrong with his twin Jessie, so when he goes to check up on him and finds him missing, he is shocked to find a woman collapsed on his brother’s doorstep. He comes to the conclusion that Rina is Jessie’s girlfriend. Even though he has developed feelings for her, he does not want to move in on his brother’s girl. Someone appears to be hell-bent on destroying Rina’s dog rescue shelter, so when AJ helps out, they bond over trying to work out who the culprit is. The cliffhanger at the end was definitely not expected, but can’t wait to read the next one if it will be Jessie’s story. I received this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.

Romance Authors That Rock
hot stuff

Jax is all jock turned into a sexy detective. He lost his love before it could really take flight. He has struggled holding Laney on a pedestal for years.

Laney is the quiet little wallflower Who has been asked to help Jack’s stay on the field. She hides who she is from everyone so that she isn’t hurt anymore. She’s forced to go even further into hiding due to circumstances beyond her control.

These two lovebirds are thrown back into each other’s lives at a time when they need each other the most. Obstacle after obstacle They find their way through to see if the love they feel is everlasting.

This is a great HEA that is great for anyone who truly loves a mild romance story. There was a lot of predictability, and for that, I leave this one with three hearts. The narrator Did a great job on the characters and the reading.

5 Sweet Stars for Loving Marie

If there is anything remotely negative to say about this one it would be that it is too short. I have loved James and Marie in all the Fairfield Corners books, and adore this tease of how they met. In other words, I want more! 😉

This is fantastic through and through. If you are not familiar with the rest of the series, this can definitely stand alone and can also stand as a great introduction to the series. It’s a quick read, but sweet. It sets the tone for the future of the series, though this one is set in Indianapolis rather than the quaint Fairfield Corners.

This is a clean, sweet read and highly recommended.

A second chance at love and happiness

Regan left Fairfield Corners three years ago leaving without explanation to Adam. She returns in the middle of a snowstorm, a deer runs out in front of her, she swerves to avoid hitting it, loses control of the car, goes into the river. This was by Adam’s house, he sees it and rescues her and her son. She is taken to the hospital and the doctor treating her is her twin brothers lifelong best friend.
There is quite a bit of history, hard feels among some of the characters. Regan must be honest with herself and everyone else as to why she left like she did, that Adam is her son’s father. Mark the doctor wants to have a relationship with her, accepting her son as his own. The person who was stalking her three years ago and threatened to kill Adam is still in town and has sent a threatening letter again. Reagan can’t run away this time.
You will not want to put this book down. Ms. Remenicky has put together a very suspense filled live story. Looking forward to reading more from her.

Meet author L.A. Remenicky – “Saving Cassie” (Fairfield Corners Book 1) – #Romance, #Mystery&Suspense, #Suspense, #Ghosts, #Paranormal, #Demons&Devils

Lori

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

It’s been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I’ve been an avid bookworm since I first learned to read.

How long does it take you to write a book?

Usually, about 3 – 4 months.

What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?

It varies due to my “day job” – I try to write something every day – doesn’t always happen.

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

I don’t know if it’s interesting or not but I have to have music playing in the background. I can’t write in total silence.
How do your books get published?

I am with a small, indie publisher – Lavish Publishing.

Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

Most of my story ideas come from music lyrics, but I also get ideas from television shows, random comments, pretty much anything that makes me ask “What if?” Saving Cassie came from a dream and the lyrics to (Everything I Do) I Do It For You by Bryan Adams.
When did you write your first book and how old were you?

I wrote Saving Cassie during NaNoWriMo in 2013 (I was 49). A friend mentioned this really cool contest where you try to write 50,000 words in a month. I thought, why not? So I signed up and wrote 50,000 words that November, it was a mess but that mess turned into Saving Cassie. After a lot of editing, I published it 2014.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

Read, watch television, travel.
What does your family think of your writing?

I’m lucky in that they are very supportive. My mom reads all my books.
What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?

That I could write something that others enjoy reading.
How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

I currently have 7 published along with a short story and a novelette in anthologies. My favorite is Saving Cassie, only because it was the first.

Do you have any suggestions to help me become a better writer? If so, what are they?

Read, read, read. Write, write, write. Finding a critique partner/alpha reader who will be honest (and not just say they love it) is a huge help.
Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

Not much except from my very small core group of readers.
Do you like to create books for adults?

Yes, I love writing romance.
What do you think makes a good story?

That’s a hard question. A good story will draw you in while leaving just enough to the imagination – difficult to explain.

As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?

I wanted to be an author or a famous singer. I can’t carry a tune in a bucket so it’s a good thing I can write, lol.

Any books in the works?

Yes, I am currently finishing up the 2nd in the Love On The Double Duet – Beyond Duty (Loving Jessie’s Girl is book 1). I am also working on a story for an anthology and a couple of other ideas that are still in the planning stages.

What are your plans for the future?

Writing, of course. Finish the Fairfield Corners series (2 more books planned), start a Rockstar series.

Spooky and impossible to put down

I have to start by saying that this book was a pleasure to read. It is also the first that I have read by L.A. Remenicky. That being said, I found her characters to be real, believable, down to earth and charming.
Cassie is a woman who has never felt “right” in her own skin, and things start to happen that make absolutely no sense at all. First, her parents are killed leaving her orphaned and alone with her grandmother. Then her grandmother dies in a mysterious way leaving Cassie the sole heir of the house she grew up in and her grandmother’s bookstore. All places that mean a great deal to her, but somehow host something out to get her.
Logan is a new cop who just happens to meet Cassie in typical cop fashion…she gets a speeding ticket. He has no knowledge that his boss, the sheriff, is also Cassie’s best friend and the closest thing to a relative she has now. Logan is immediately drawn to Cassie, and it slowly reveals itself in a haunting and highly anticipated way. Logan was sent to save Cassie from the demon entity that inhabited a “friend” from her parents’ past. Spooky, right? I thought so too. How do you fight a demon? How do you hold onto the love of your life and the warmth of the past? What happens when that demon is dead set on destroying not only you but everything you thought you could ever want? Cassie knows.
